Ontario weather is hard on exterior paint — freeze-thaw cycles, summer UV, and humidity all conspire to peel, fade, and crack a job that wasn’t done properly. Most exterior paint failures in Southwestern Ontario trace back to one cause: bad prep work.
At Patel Painters Pro, we take exterior painting seriously because we have to. We pressure wash every surface, scrape failing paint, prime bare spots, and use weather-resistant paint products formulated for the Canadian climate. The result is an exterior paint job that lasts 7-10 years on most surfaces — not 2 or 3. Start your free site visit and we’ll walk through your home with you.
From premium emulsions to specialty finishes, we work with every major paint brand

Late April through late October. Ideal conditions: daytime highs above 10°C, overnight lows above 5°C, low humidity, no rain in the forecast for 24 hours after painting. We monitor weather carefully and reschedule at no charge if conditions will hurt the finish.
Yes. Bushes, gardens, decks, walkways, and equipment all get covered before any pressure washing or paint. We move outdoor furniture and BBQs as needed.
Homes built before 1980 may have lead-based paint. If we suspect lead, we test before scraping or sanding. Lead paint requires special handling under Ontario regulations — we follow those protocols and document everything.
With proper prep and quality paint: 7-10 years on most surfaces. Decks need re-staining every 2-3 years because they take direct foot traffic. Trim and fascia might need touch-ups in 5-7 years.
Yes. We use breathable masonry paints so moisture can escape from the brick. Important note: painting brick is essentially permanent — stripping it later is very expensive. We always discuss the decision carefully first.
We can quote and replace small sections of rotten wood siding, fascia, or trim. For larger sections we'll refer you to a local KW carpenter and resume painting once their work is done.
